Miss Moonshine
— miss moonshine —
For over a year and half, Kevin Fitzke has been studying hydrodynamics of hull design and 3d CAD from one of the very best Naval Designers - Michel Berryer (Berryer Design & Manufacturing). Kevin has now developed the design of his first production boat - Miss Moonshine. This boat is 23’ in overall length and is inspired from George Crouch, Charles Mower and John Hacker’s many great prewar torpedo style gentleman’s racers. A focus on Moonshine’s bottom design incorporates the best in hydrodynamic comfort and speed. While the framework is constructed using hand-held cnc machining and epoxy laminations; hull planking is always fitted and installed by hand using cold-molded construction techniques. This certifies precision accuracy in structural reliability and guarantees a minimal maintence record for the future. Interior work is inspired by prewar grand prix cars of a days-gone-by-era when the function of an object was unintentionally designed to simplistic perfection.
Miss Moonshine has a capacity rating of four people but primary use will be assumed by the driver and one eager passenger. Engine is a 5 star emissions rated V8, mounted midway in the hull and produces 365 horsepower. Option for electric power is available upon request (following advances in technology).
Much like a sports car, Miss Moonshine takes you on a ride to rejuvenate the soul and rekindle the joy of what life needs to be.
Fitzke Boatworks will produced only two boats per year as a built-to-order status. A la carte options in upholstery, paint and wood stain, along with a custom trailer and bow thruster come standard.
